Our small herd of Pedigree Welsh Black Cattle roam the sheltered green pastures at Oaklands Farm....

The Welsh Black is Wales' native cattle breed and one of the oldest in Britain, having inhabited the hills of Wales since pre-Roman times. These amazing beasts have been prized for centuries, often known as 'Black gold', and are renowned for their hardiness, ease of calving and mothering abilities.

The award-winning Welsh Black Beef is amongst the finest in the world. At a 'blind' tasting of fillet steak by 12 top London chefs, the expert judges declared Welsh Black to be the best, beating off stiff competition from the global and national giants, including the famous Aberdeen Angus.

Our grass-fed BSE-free suckler herd of Welsh Black cows raise their calves in a family environment.

All our beef comes from animals that have been born and raised here at Oaklands Farm.
